I started CleanRun in 2013 after watching a homeowner in Coppell pay for a “complete duct cleaning” that consisted of a shop vac run into one register and a bill left on the counter. No photos. No written scope. No proof the other nineteen runs had been touched. I’d spent the previous eight years in commercial HVAC restoration, working with negative-pressure extraction systems and HEPA containment on medical and school projects, and I knew residential customers deserved the same documentation standards.

So I wrote the H.A.V.E.N. Standard, named for the five clauses that govern every job we run: Honest Quote, Accountable Crew, Verified Documentation, Exact Scope, No Surprises. Haven Standard Clause 1 requires a written price before any work starts. Not an estimate. A price. Haven Standard Clause 5 requires before-and-after photography inside every duct run, delivered to the customer as part of the standard job record. We’ve held that practice since our first job in 2013, long before phone cameras made it convenient.

These days I split my time between running calls in Irving and training new technicians on the equipment roster: Rotobrush brush-and-vac systems for residential trunk lines, Nikro and Abatement Technologies negative-air machines for whole-system pulls, Honeywell and Aprilaire media filters and UV sanitizers, Guardsman antimicrobial treatments. Marcus T., Lead Technician

Marcus has been with CleanRun since 2017, which makes him the longest-tenured technician in the Irving crew after Tomas. Off the clock, he coaches youth basketball in Grand Prairie and refuses to wear anything but steel-toe boots, even in August.

Elena V., Senior Installer & Duct Repair Specialist

Elena joined us in 2019 after six years in commercial sheet metal fabrication, and she brought a rigor to our duct repair and sealing work that changed how we approach every job. She’s certified in Aeroseal duct sealing technology and handles the mechanical side of our air quality and sanitizing installs, including Honeywell whole-house dehumidifiers and Aprilaire media air cleaners integrated into existing Irving systems. He joined the company in 2021 after managing dispatch for a plumbing operation in Dallas, and he built our current scheduling system from scratch. Darnell doesn’t just book appointments; he pre-qualifies jobs by asking the right questions about system age, recent renovations, and whether anyone in the home has noticed increased dust accumulation or allergy symptoms. That upfront conversation often determines whether we send a standard air duct cleaning crew or recommend adding HVAC cleaning and sanitizing to address a deeper issue. His human detail: he’s a meticulous note-taker who keeps a running spreadsheet of Irving neighborhoods with recurring issues, from the post-tension slab movement in Las Colinas that cracks duct seams to the cottonwood seed infiltration common near Trinity River Greenbelt homes each May. He also makes the best coffee in the shop, which is not a trivial contribution at 6:45 a.m. when the first crew is loading out.

Sofia R., Apprentice Technician

Sofia started with CleanRun in 2024 after completing a two-year HVAC technology program at Tarrant County College. She’s in her apprenticeship phase, which means she shadows Marcus on residential air duct cleaning and dryer vent cleaning calls, operates the Rotobrush and Nikro equipment under supervision, and learns to document photo records to Haven Standard Clause 5 specifications. Tomas assigned her to Elena for duct repair and sealing training after she demonstrated unusual patience with the finicky work of mastic application and sealant curing times. Sofia’s already shown a knack for the diagnostic side of the work, identifying a blocked evaporator coil on a routine duct cleaning call in an Irving Ranch home that had been misdiagnosed as a refrigerant issue by two previous contractors. Her human detail: she’s the only crew member who consistently remembers to check for pet toys and small objects in return-air boots before running the camera, a habit born from growing up with three dogs and a cat in a Euless ranch house. She also asks more questions than the rest of the crew combined, which Tomas considers a feature, not a bug.
